What is “The Party Image”? :

To first understand why The Party Image wants to give back to the community, you must first understand who The Party Image is.

The Party Image opened its doors in Round Rock, Texas on November 1, 2005. It offers spa-atmosphere pampering parties to young ladies, seventeen and under. The Party Image partners, Lesli Prine and Marianne Bedard, set out from the beginning to instill a sense of inner beauty to their young customers. They figured that while the girls were there learning techniques to treat their outer beauty better, they had an obligation to address their inner beauty, as well. There are too many makeover/princess/diva party places that apply heavy make-up on these young girls and send them on their way, just adding to the message that these young girls receive everyday in the media that in order to be beautiful they have to look this way.

The Party Image knew from the beginning that it wanted to offer a different message. It has never allowed the girls to apply heavy make-up, instead teaching them how to apply age-appropriate make-up and how to care for their skin. They also stress that less is more! The Party Image also offers fun updos for the girl’s hair, dazzling polish for their fingers and toes that includes hand and feet pampering and three different crafts that can be added to the party. Every party begins with an inner beauty group discussion. The girls are asked if they could be given three secrets that would insure their beauty forever, would they want to know them. Their answer is a resounding YES! The Party Image then shares with the girls those secrets of forever beauty. They include the golden rule of treating others as you want to be treated. It throws off the girls for just a second and then they get it, truly being beautiful comes from within!
Then the party coordinators go on to ask each attendee of the party to tell the birthday girl one thing about her “inner” beauty that makes them want to be her friend. One girl might start by saying that her friend has a pretty smile and they are quickly corrected that that is “outer” beauty. After thinking for a second, they change it to “she makes me laugh” and are quickly rewarded with that pretty smile from their friend.

What is “The Party Image Gives Back”?:

“The Party Image Gives Back” is a non-profit Texas corporation (Federal 501(c)3 status applied for), formed in April of 2008, to present Camp Confidence to the young girls of Williamson and Travis counties, at no charge. From the beginning, The Party Image knew their goals of helping young ladies find their inner beauty would not stop in Round Rock, Texas. They opened a second location in South Austin, Texas in July of 2007 and are franchising their concept nationally. The Party Image decided that since the community has treated them so well, it was time to “Give Back” in some way. It wanted their Camp Confidence concept that was initiated in the summer of 2006, as a fee paid camp, to now be open to ALL girls between the ages of 8 – 12, at NO charge whatsoever. These ages have been targeted as the key years that girls start to figure out their own beauty, both inside and out. They are bombarded with messages in the media of what “makes” you beautiful and can be easily misled. This camp is designed to address the issues these girls face every day and to insure that they can look in the mirror and not just see their outer beauty, but to be able to look deep into their own eyes in that mirror and find the inner beauty that is there already. Confidence allows them to find it and remember it when they need it most.

To offer this at the scale that The Party Image is dedicated to doing, they are searching for corporate sponsors to help with this program. Their vision for this program is to not only offer Camp Confidence as a FREE TO ALL summer camp, but also to offer an after school program during the school year as FREE TO ALL that will be based on the lessons within the Camp Confidence program. They envision this after school program to become a mentoring program for the young girls who attend.

Another vision of the program is to re-contact each attendee and invite them to a dinner banquet where the girl’s inner beauty will be re-emphasized and the girls will be treated to a special dinner event and evening of girly fun! This banquet would be held twice yearly and all girls who have attended the camp program in the previous six months would be invited. As the attendance base is increased, this banquet program may be increased to a quarterly event or even a monthly event.

The Party Image has dedicated itself from its inception to making sure that the girls who have come to their place for a party, leave knowing that they were beautiful when they walked IN the door, not because of anything that was done while they were there. They already have the demographic audience and interest of young girls through their pampering services, but sadly, there are many, many girls who want to come to The Party Image, but who come from families who cannot afford an event at their establishment, and may be the ones who could benefit the most from the services of “The Party Image Gives Back” and Camp Confidence! This makes them the ideal company to have formed a non-profit organization to give back to these same young girls who crave their attention already!
